Lessons for Flute Beginners
Are you brand new to the flute? Or did you JUST start?
This is a great place for you to begin!! I love teaching beginning flute players because it ensures that you start off on the right foot, create good habits from the beginning, and get a head start on flute playing!!

Even if you're brand new to music, I can teach you how to read music AND how to play the flute at the same time!

Start with a FREE Trial Lesson!
Before you ever pay ANYTHING for a lesson, I like to offer a free trial lesson for my in-person / local private students.
​
Typically this lesson is slightly shorter than normal, and splits the time between having a mini-lesson where we get to know each other and you get to see my teaching style in action!
​
Then we'll talk (you + your parents + me) about the Metro Atlanta Flute Studio policies, expectations, tuition, etc.
​
If we're a good fit, then we'll get you on the schedule and start lessons!!

Sectionals & Lessons for Band Directors
Flute Sectionals
I'd love to come in and teach your flute babies! Whether you need a recurring weekly or bi-montly sectional, or are just looking for some help right before LGPE, a concert, solo and ensemble, auditions, etc. I've got your back!
As a former band director, I truly understand the importance of bringing in an expert on each instrument to teach and inspire your students. I LOVE teaching flute sectionals and would love to help out your kids and your ensemble!

Some of the things I love to focus on in sectionals (of course depending on the grade level and your specific needs and wishes) are:
- Tone quality & control
- Intonation *especially as a section!
- Posture, technique, and creating good habits
- Technique and Musicality - especially in their repertoire
- Rhythm & Music Theory (I love supplementing what you're doing in the classroom to help students see things in a new light!)
